RoboPad lets you control your robot with a mobile phone or tablet!
Currently you can control the PrintBots Renacuajo, Beetle and Evolution, but lots of friends will be joining them soon!
RoboPad uses Bluetooth to connect to the microcontroller board of the robot and then... let the fun begin!

You can also download the Arduino code necessary to control your PrintBot with RoboPad here:

Place your Renacuajo over a black line and activate the line-follower mode to let the Renacuajo follow the black line automatically. You can also make your Evolution robot avoid obstacles by itself.
The Beetle's movements can be also controlled by the amount of light in the light-avoider mode. For example, cover the left light sensor to turn left, or cover both sensors to stop the Beetle.
Remember to connect the Bluetooth module to the pins of the microcontroller board as follows:
TXD - pin 0
RXD - pin 1
VCC - 5V
GND - GND
You can see a schematic of the connections at any time by clicking on the icon of the robot.
Available languages: English, French and Spanish.
The location permission is needed in order to search for near Bluetooth devices. You can only connect to paired robots if the permission is not accepted.

To install RoboPad on your Android device, just click the green Continue To App button above to start the installation process. The app is listed on our website since 2017-07-07 and was downloaded 6 times. We have already checked if the download link is safe, however for your own protection we recommend that you scan the downloaded app with your antivirus. Your antivirus may detect the RoboPad as malware as malware if the download link to com.bq.robotic.robopad is broken.
How to install RoboPad on your Android device:
- Click on the Continue To App button on our website. This will redirect you to Google Play.
- Once the RoboPad is shown in the Google Play listing of your Android device, you can start its download and installation. Tap on the Install button located below the search bar and to the right of the app icon.
- A pop-up window with the permissions required by RoboPad will be shown. Click on Accept to continue the process.
- RoboPad will be downloaded onto your device, displaying a progress. Once the download completes, the installation will start and you'll get a notification after the installation is finished.
